I am a novice computer graphics animator. I love the medium and I
intend to make a career out of it.
I have recently been considering taking $20,000+ and 2 years of my
life and attending a trade school, such as the art institute of
Pittsburg.  I have no doubt that getting an associates degree in
computer animation will develop my skills at animation, but my
question is this:
     Is it worth the money and time to go to school for this?  Should
I stay at home and make a demo tape on my own?  Will this degree
actually mean anything to a potential employer?
     This is a very important decision that I have to make, and I'm
hoping that the members of this group, especially business owners and
employers, could give me a little advice.
     If it turns out that a formal education is the way for me to go,
is there anyone out there that could point me towards a good school to
attend?  The more choices I have, the merrier.
     Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
